With over 20 years of academic experience, Dr. Sadler has specialized in investigating the chemistry and regulatory issues associated with food processing and packaging. Much of his work examined the interaction between packaging and foods treated by novel processing techniques. The research resulted in various types of regulatory submissions to FDA leading to the approval of new polymers and additives, and removal of the regulatory burdens hindering commercialization of recycled PET and food irradiation. This part of his work has lead to a greater acceptance of the use of mathematical modeling for regulatory submissions in the US and EU. With the establishment of this company, PROVE IT he seeks to partner with industry and academia to bring validation and regulatory expertise to commercialize new technologies which have potential social benefits.
